What are the special properties of these papers?
These papers offer excellent water resistance. Even when submerged in water they demonstrate resistance to tears and breakage. They also retain their color.
Where and how are these papers used?
They are often used for labeling of clothing items during the dry-cleaning process. Clothes can be laundered with the tags attached and they will not disintegrate during the laundering process. Their resistance to moisture also makes them suitable for labeling of indoor and outdoor plants.
What makes them more water resistant than other papers?
In ordinary papers, the bonding between the fibers is weakened when wet, resulting in easy breakage. However, in washing-resistant papers, bonding between the fibers is maintained when wet, resulting in their showing very little tearing or breakage after being submerged in water.
Other important features.
LINTEC’s washing-resistant papers also offer chemical resistance. This means that detergents used in the cleaning process will not cause these papers to lose their color, removing concerns about color staining the clothing.
These papers are available in a wide range of color variations, and offer excellent printability.
