The SBTi recognizes GHG reduction targets set by companies as SBTs when they meet the level required to achieve the Paris Agreement*3 goal of limiting the global average temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. LINTEC has obtained certification for the following short-term targets:
GHG Reduction Targets for FY2030
Scope 1 and 2: At least 52% reduction (compared to fiscal 2021)
Scope 3 (Category 1: Purchased goods and services): At least 25% reduction (compared to fiscal 2021)
To ensure sustainable growth into the future, the LINTEC Group has set forth its long-term vision, LINTEC Sustainability Vision 2030 (LSV 2030), with a focus on what the company should look like in 2030. Under this vision, the Group is accelerating initiatives to fulfill its roles and responsibilities in addressing various social issues. As one of its key initiatives, "helping to shape a carbon-free world," the Group will continue working to reduce GHG emissions going forward.
