Lintec Launches Solar Control Window Film Made with 100% Recycled PET Resin

Cuts solar heat and UV rays when applied to window glass, and also contributes to CO2 emissions reduction

Lintec announced that its new solar radiation control type window film with facestock made of 100% recycled PET resin will go on sale on July 14, 2025.

Environmentally Friendly Window Film Made with 100% Recycled PET Resin

Under its WINCOS brand, Lintec offers window films that provide diverse benefits including heat insulation, crime prevention, and insect repellency when applied to the entire surface of window glass. In light of increasing environmental awareness, Lintec launched a shatterproof window film with facestock made of 100% recycled PET resin in December 2024.

Lintec has expanded its environmentally friendly lineup with a new product, BR-50UH RECYCLE 100, a new solar radiation control type window film with facestock made of 100% recycled PET resin. This new product will go on sale on July 14, 2025.

Reducing the Amount of Solar Heat Penetrating Windows Helps Manage Interior Heat

This new product is a solar radiation control type window film that reduces interior heat caused by solar radiation while still delivering high transparency. When applied to the entire surface of window glass in offices, residences, commercial facilities, and other buildings, the window film reduces solar radiation permeability*1, primarily in the high thermal energy range of near-infrared*2, to approximately 57%. In addition to blocking over 99% of ultraviolet rays that cause skin to sunburn and interior materials to fade, the film also reduces the scattering of glass shards in the event of window breakage.

Utilizing used PET bottles as the raw material for the film facestock, this window film reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 17.5% compared to films made with non-recycled PET resin. Lintec will continue to boost the solutions this new environmentally friendly product provides.
