Newly developed slightly transparent specialty paper with a soft texture unique to paper and a writable feature has been developed. Slightly transparent specialty paper with an excellent writing touch

In addition to our extensive lineup of specialty papers applying exclusive papermaking techniques, we have launched a newly developed slightly transparent specialty paper with a soft texture unique to paper and an excellent writing touch. Its principal raw material is wood pulp. Sales of the transparent, writable specialty paper begin on April 1.

This paper has a thickness and toughness with consideration given to usability. It also has a writable feature so that it can be used for writing with a pencil or ballpoint pen, and is suited for offset and laser printing. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications as transparent paper material.

It is even suited for writing with a pencil or ballpoint pen

Paper folders were also launched. They were developed leveraging the transparency, thickness and toughness of the newly developed specialty paper. It is possible to write directly on the surface of paper folders, and they are also suitable for printing, which gives them a wide range of applications. Because they are made from paper, the folders are easy to shred prior to disposal, responding to the growing demand for the reduction of plastic.*

In addition to the paper folders, the newly developed specialty paper will be expanded to address needs for wider applications, including packaging, book outer covers and message cards.

  • This product cannot be recycled as recycled paper because it uses a resin material.
