Releases new printing papers that are highly water-resistant and are tear-resistant even when wet

Targeting mainly applications that require water resistance. Also capable of meeting increasing needs for alternatives to plastic

LINTEC has developed new printing papers that are highly water-resistant and have tear-resistant properties even when wet, and began selling them on November 25. LINTEC will propose them for an extensive array of applications, including shopping bags, maps, product tags, and packages for refrigerated and frozen foods, and respond to the increasing demand for alternatives to plastic.

Printing papers that are highly water-resistant

In July, LINTEC has released adhesive labelstocks that use a water-resistant paper for facestock, instead of film, which serve as an environmentally friendly material capable of replacing plastic.

The newly released printing papers feature the remarkable water resistance similar to the above adhesive labelstocks. LINTEC offers this product in both a single-sided coating to improve availability for printing and an uncoated type. LINTEC began selling these products on November 25.

The smooth surface and high gloss of the single-sided coating type is excellent for reproducing photos and colors. The uncoated type is highly versatile and ideal for a broad array of printing methods. LINTEC will propose these products for an extensive array of applications, including shopping bags, maps, product tags, and packages for refrigerated and frozen foods, and respond to the increasing demand for alternatives to plastic.

The products are made from lumber pulp from FSC® certified forests and other properly managed forests, and have thus acquired FSC® MIX certification(FSC-C022824). They contribute to the sustainable utilization and conservation of forest resources.
